Today's stroll takes us up Mt Kuju,1791 m-highest point in Kyushu and a still active volcano.The locals tell us it almost certain suicide to attempt to scale "place of fiery death", but we tell them we have the ANZAC spirit and laugh at death! Fortunately I have remembered to pack my volcano suit.
We reach the summit, have a picnic lunch and then by bus to Aso, bathtime and dinner.
