We say farewell to all our companions for the last 16 days and its onto the Shinkansen bound for Hiroshima. We arrive at Hiroshima and catch the tram for the peace park with tasteful tourists smiling and having their photos taken in front of the war remnant!
Delicious lunch of onokomiyake a kind of savoury omlette and then by train to Miyajima-gauchi and then by ferry to the island of Miyajima with its iconic red torrii, considered to be one of the top 3 views in Japan. Check into our luxurious ryokan, bathe and then take a brief tour of the town and then a dinner served in our room by our own geisha.
