Today is very very wet. By taxi to Mt Aso a very active volcano and then out into the howling wind and rain for a walk over a lunar, volcanic landscape. We are turned back from the summit by the ferocity of the wind and make our sodden way back to shelter and try to dry out. Then by taxi to train station and on to Kumamoto and a very comfortable hotel. Dinner at an Izakaya specialising in horse meat.
