Taxi to Tokyo Station and then onto Shinkansen to Hakata in Kyushu. Very smooth trip marred only by adjacent 4 Yanks playing cards who felt they had to share their analysis of each hand with the rest of the carriage. Met up with our walking tour group( a rum crowd of English, Americans, a Singaporean and a token Dane).
Catch train for USA(sic) and then by mini-bus to our first stop.
Pre-prandial communal bath in hot springs-very relaxing.
